Alfie Haaland excited for Leeds United v Man City battle with Erling and Kalvin Phillips featuring

Alfie Haaland has already confirmed he has his tickets for Leeds United’s meeting with Manchester City on Boxing Day. Haaland, who used to play for both sides during his playing days, will be at Elland Road to watch his two former sides in action, with son Erling set to represent the visitors.

Erling was born in Leeds during his Dad’s time as a player at Elland Road and has frequently claimed he used to support the Whites as a youngster. He has been pictured in Leeds merchandise several times and was also videoed speaking at length to Stuart Dallas following an international match between Northern Ireland and Norway.

Alfie made 87 appearances for Leeds during his three-year spell at the club, before moving to Man City in 2000, where he went onto play 45 times. He has also played a big part in his son’s career so far, working alongside Erling’s agent in each of his three transfer moves to Red Bull Salzburg, Borussia Dortmund and most recently Man City.

Boxing Day will also be the first time recently departed midfielder Kalvin Phillips will return to Elland Road as a Man City player following his summer switch to Man City. Alfie Haaland confirmed his attendance for the fixture on his official Twitter account earlier today.

A Leeds-orientated page tweeted this morning of how it was he signed for the club on this day in 1997. Alfie responded: “Great years. Just got my tickets for 26/12.”
