It’s admittedly an unlikely chart spat...
Yungblud is storming to the top of the album charts this week - but Michael Ball and Alfie Boe are determined to dethrone him.
They were replaced at the top of the charts by the punk rocker in 2020 and are spoiling for a battle when they release their album Together in Vegas in a
few weeks.
Yungblud, a favourite of the Rolling Stones, has revealed his mum is a fan of the pair’s music, so Ball and Boe are inviting
themselves to Samantha’s kitchen for her to judge who is best.
The pair’s terms: “The Judge: Yungblud’s Mum (who clearly has great music taste). Venue: Her kitchen. Time: At Dawn. Repertoire: Artists’ Choice.”
Yungblud previously said: “My mum bought their album the week we were competing. When I asked her why, she said, ‘I didn’t think it would count!’.”
The duo hope for a Christmas No1 with Together in Vegas, out next month. Unless Yungblud can put a stop to that...

It made a nice change for him, as he has previously been compared to the former German chancellor
Angela Merkel.
“Why do I look like so many female politicians?” sighed the weary Scot.
Anneka Rice
Anneka Rice claims her Madame Tussaud’s waxwork that dangled on a rope ladder was melted down to make Kim Kardashian ’s left buttock.
The Challenge Anneka star was also saddened a rose named after her and given to her by Alan Titchmarsh has been discontinued.
She said: “If they ask me to return my Rear of the Year trophy I’m going to live in a tree.”
An ex-museum employee later contacted Anneka claiming her model is in a lock-up in Acton, West London. Kim’s bum is slightly more glamorous.
