Erling Haaland might only stay at Manchester City for three or four seasons — according to his father Alf-Inge.
Having missed out on signing England captain Harry Kane last summer, with Tottenham digging their heels in over his valuation, Pep Guardiola went after Haaland this season and promptly won the race for his £51million signature.
Haaland, 22, continues to take the Premier League by storm following his switch from Borussia Dortmund, with 14 goals coming in his first 10 appearances in all competitions. He already has 11 to his name in the Premier League and that return saw him shatter records in City colours as early as August.

Given his ever-increasing status in the European game — Haaland was being monitored by Spanish rivals Barcelona and Real Madrid previously —interest will remain fierce for his services. So how long will the Norway sensation stay on these shores with City?
Well that was one subject his father and former City player, Alf-Inge, addressed while speaking on a documentary entitled 'Haaland - The Big Decision' which screened this month on Scandinavian streaming service Viaplay. It takes a closer look at the conversations around his move to City from the Bundesliga.
Alf-Inge, 49, said: "I think that Erling [Haaland] wants to test out his capabilities in every league. Then he can stay in every league for three to four years maximum."
In further comments, he joked: "He could have two and a half years in Germany, two and a half in England and then [the same] in Spain, Italy and France, right? We do not know if it will be like that, but I think he would like to test his abilities in the big leagues."
