Alexis Mac Allister's father has confirmed that clubs have already enquired about signing the coveted Brighton midfielder after he starred for Argentina at the World Cup.
The Seagulls ace started the tournament on the bench but established himself as one of La Albiceleste's most influential players during their triumphant campaign in Qatar. Mac Allister bagged his first international goal during the tournament and even managed to bag an assist in the World Cup final after playing a key role in the win over France.
Unsurprisingly, Mac Allister's stock is at an all-time high in the wake of his heroics on the global stage - and a host of top European clubs are now believed to be courting the 24-year-old ahead of the January transfer window.
Arsenal and Liverpool are two of the parties who are reportedly keen on prising Mac Allister away from Brighton, while Juventus have also emerged as a potential destination for the former Argentinos Juniors ace.
Carlos Mac Allister, who is Alexis' father and agent, has now spoken out on the interest in his son - and has revealed that some suitors have already attempted to make contact over a deal.
Mac Allister senior told Italian outlet Tutto Mercato, via Inside Futbol: "I can only say that together with the club we will analyse the offers we will receive and then we will decide what will happen with Alexis' future.
"He is doing very well in England and is grateful to Brighton as they gave him the chance to come to Europe. However, neither can we provide a price nor can we say who called us. We don’t want to give any information that could prejudice imminent negotiations if any."

Despite interest in Mac Allister, Brighton are in a strong position: the midfield maestro is committed to the club until the summer of 2025 after penning a new long-term deal back in October.
The Seagulls have had a number of their top stars poached in the past and have already lost former head coach Graham Potter and star full-back Marc Cucurella to Chelsea this season - but CEO Paul Barber is adamant that the club are relaxed over Mac Allister's situation.
Speaking after Argentina's World Cup triumph earlier this month, Barber said: "Of course, we're very aware that when any of our players, when any of our staff, do well, they're going to attract interest from bigger clubs, wealthier clubs.
"We're very conscious of that. But we want to keep Alexis here as long as we can. He's a very important part of the team and we're looking forward to having him back in the not-too-distant future."
