Arsenal striker Alexandre Lacazette made sure to send a sly dig to Brentford striker Ivan Toney after the Gunners' 2-1 win on Saturday.
Christian Norgaard's 90th-minute consolation goal did little to dampen the mood at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
Bukayo Saka and Emile Smith Rowe gave the home side a two-goal lead as Mikel Arteta's side closed the gap to fourth to just a point with two games in hand over Manchester United in the race for a Champions League spot.
Lacazette played 84 minutes before making way for Eddie Nketiah with the game set to go Arsenal's way.
Toney did not play in the fixture but did in the reverse tie on the opening day of the season.
The Premier League newcomers shocked Arteta's side with a 2-0 win to which Toney tweeted after: "Nice kick about with the boys. @BrentfordFC."
Not to miss an opportunity, French striker Lacazette tweeted similar on Saturday evening.
"Nice kick about with the boys. @Arsenal," the French striker said.
It looks like Lacazette had the last laugh after all.
