The couple, who were first linked last May, chose not to reveal the sex of their baby or their name for their new arrival yet.
Alexandra, who rose to fame after winning X Factor in 2008, shared her pregnancy news earlier this year to celebrate Valentine’s Day.
The 33-year-old Bad Boys hitmaker unveiled her growing baby bump in a video alongside Bray native Darren and captioned the clip: “Due June 2022”
West Ham goalkeeper Darren, who has previously played for the Republic of Ireland U21 team, has gone on to share loved-up snap with Alexandra as the pair prepared for their new arrival.
Fans and friends rushed to congratulate the couple on their news, with Strictly Come Dancing’s Motsi Mabuse saying: “Congratulations mama all the best.”
Emmerdale star Fiona Wade added: “Awww Congratulations to you both!! So so happy for you!!”
