It’s one injury after another for the Minnesota Vikings right now. Multiple players have been banged up in the game vs. the New Orleans Saints, and now the Vikings have lost running back Alexander Mattison for the rest of the game. Mattison was banged up earlier in the third quarter and has since been ruled out with a concussion.
Akayleb Evans is questionable to return because of a calf injury.

With the Vikings already missing Cam Akers for the rest of the season with a ruptured Achilles, they are getting very thin at the position.
With Mattison out for the remainder of the game, the bulk of the work at running back is going to fall on the shoulders of second-year back Ty Chandler.
Chandler has provided the Vikings’ running game with a bit of a spark so far in this game with his running. Now he’ll be the main back going forward. With Minnesota still up by a touchdown, Chandler should have plenty of opportunity to expand on his eight carries and 40 yards so far today.
