Alexander Isak couldn't have asked for a better debut - the way he took his goal and led the line, and the goal that he finished off which was ruled off for a debatable offside. His general play was excellent.
He looked impressive, and as Newcastle fans if you expected any more on a debut you have high expectations! I thought he was outstanding. It was so seamless how he came in and looked like he'd been around the club and the lads for a long time, and that's all credit to him.
It's right up there for debuts for Newcastle, if not the very best. It's daunting as an away player going to Anfield, and this is your first time in the Premier League. People are asking questions over the price tag, you're the record signing and you're going into Premier League for the first time which is classed as the best in the world and one of the quickest.

The biggest compliment I can give is that he looked like a seasoned player, he looked like he'd been in the Premier League for many years. This is the challenge he wants and the environment he wants to be in, it was an outstanding debut. If you go back through time, the only other one that springs to mind is Micky Quinn scoring four goals on his home debut against Leeds.
Whether the injury Callum Wilson picked up sped the transfer process up, I don't know. It was imperative they got another player with the assets of Wilson, and judging by his performance at Anfield the other night, he certainly has.
Imagine him and Wilson playing together? Wow, what a pairing that could be. It gives Eddie Howe some food for thought in terms of changing the system. He's got options now, and it's an exciting prospect having Wilson and Isak together, that's for sure.
The club won't smash their transfer record to have someone sitting on the bench. He hasn't come here just to be a substitute. He's flexible and can play in wide positions, so he gives Eddie a lot of options.
He can stay with the same system and put Callum through the middle and Isak out wide. If he wants to go with two up top as he's a very positive coach, does he go with the old-fashioned 4-4-2 formation and continue with the two quick wide players? Or does he go with a 3-5-2? It's great to have these possibilities.
The bench at Newcastle is looking very competitive now. Hopefully when the injuries clear up, it's a strong bench and that's what you judge a squad on. If Eddie makes changes, it's not going to weaken the starting eleven.
Wilson will be chomping at the bit. He will be thinking of getting himself fit to play alongside Isak. I love his ambition after the first couple of games when he got interviewed and he said he wanted to be part of the World Cup squad.
We've seen his quality, it's not in doubt. The only negative about Wilson is his injury history. His technique, his movement in the box, his change of pace, and his finishing is top quality. Unfortunately, that area has come up again but thankfully it's not long term.
I have no doubt he'll be loving it, when you're a top player you don't worry about other top players coming in. You embrace it because you know it'll make you even better. Those two will terrify Premier League defenders.
You see what Wilson does on his own, he puts fear in a team so they drop deeper which allows the midfielders to have more time on the ball and we get wide players up the pitch. Callum can just worry about his movements in the penalty area, and if you have another player doing that, they're going to be thinking which one do we shut down?
If Isak helps make a contribution to the team and helps the team progress, then he will have had a successful first season. He will have done his job. Obviously when you're dealing with goalscorers, they have their own mentality.
They're never satisfied, they always want to score more goals. Wilson, Isak and Chris Wood will all have their own targets in mind. For me, it's not just about what they do with their scoring but how they work for the team as well.
