Barcelona are now reportedly in the race to sign Alexander Isak from Real Sociedad, amid interest from Arsenal.
According to Sport, senior officials at the Catalan club 'love' the 22-year-old striker, who recently put pen to paper on a new contract at Sociedad.
Isak initially attracted interest from Arsenal last summer, where the forward shone for Sweden in the Euros. While he has only scored four La Liga goals this season, his all-round play has been fantastic.
The Swede striker has previously gave a massive hint where his future could eventually be, and spoke about the possibility of playing in the Premier League.
Speaking to The Independent, Isak said: "I am in a good place at the moment, I am very happy, but one day it would be nice to play in England as well.
"They have six or seven of the biggest clubs in the world, it is a very high level, and of course one day it would be an alternative. Every player wants to be the best version of themselves and reach the highest possible level.
"I have expectations for myself that I am trying to fulfil, so we’ll see where the journey takes me in future."
What next for Arsenal?
football.london understands that Isak, as well as Lille striker Jonathan David, are both options that have been explored by Arsenal over the course of the last month.
With Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang leaving at the beginning of February, as well as Alexandre Lacaztte and Eddie Nketiah looking set to leave at the end of the season, Mikel Arteta could be left short of centre-forward options.
