Newcastle United striker Alexander Isak believes he and his team-mates deserved at least a point from Wednesday's Premier League loss to Liverpool.
Eddie Howe's side looked to have earned a share of the spoils at Anfield, only for Fabio Carvalho to strike deep into stoppage time to send Liverpool supporters inside the stadium wild. It had been an evening of frustration for the hosts, who were forced to contend with the dark arts being deployed by their opponents.
The Toon Army took the lead on the night through their £63million club-record signing, Isak, who later saw a well-taken goal ruled out for offside during the second half, but saw three points taken away from them courtesy of finishes from Roberto Firmino and Carvalho.

In what was Isak's first taste of Premier League football, his dream debut ended on a sour note as Jurgen Klopp's men sealed a dramatic victory. Speaking after the game, the Sweden international claimed the Magpies could count themselves unfortunate to be on the receiving end of such a scenario.
"I'm gutted we weren't able to get a point in the end. It doesn't feel so good at the end to leave with zero points," he told NUFC TV.
Asked whether he believed Newcastle deserved more from the match, Isak continued: "I think so. We did a very good first half but the second half was a bit different. The work the guys gave, we're very unlucky - but that's football.
"The lads are disappointed, as you should be. It looked like we were leaving with at least one point. To concede a goal in the last seconds is never ideal or fun.
"We are a bit down," he add when describing the mood in the dressing room at full-time. "But we have to use this to make our energy for the next game. This feeling, you never want to feel. I think we did a good performance so we have to keep going and we just have to remember this feeling for the next game."
