Alex Scott looked on great form as she arrived at the BBC Sports Personality Of The Year Awards in Salford on Wednesday (December 21). The TV star, 38, was at MediaCity to host the prestigious sporting awards with Clare Balding, Gabby Logan and Gary Lineker.
The pundit and former Arsenal and England footballer looked super-chic in a black halterneck gown with a gold necklace detail. She teamed her figure-hugging dress, which showed off her toned arms, with coordinating hoop earrings and heels.
A smiling Alex completed the look with smokey bronze make-up and she wore her hair slicked back into a sleek ponytail. The presenter struck a series of happy poses along the red carpet at Dock 10 at Salford Quays.

Alex was widely praised as she made a stand after a U-turn over players wearing an anti-discrimination armband at the World Cup last month. The One Love band contains the rainbow colours associated with the Pride flag and had been set to be a strong statement in Qatar, a country which criminalises same-sex relationships.
Harry Kane was due to don the band as the England team makes its 2022 World Cup debut in their first game against Iran. Wales skipper Gareth Bale was also due to wear it in the match against the United States later in the evening.
But a joint statement from seven European nations who had signed up to the One Love campaign – which included England and Wales – confirmed the armbands would no longer be worn following warnings from FIFA, which suggested sporting sanctions would be imposed.
But Alex, who was part of the BBC's punditry team for the tournament, donned the band as she appeared pitchside ahead of England's opening match. And Twitter was quickly flooded with praise.
@LauraKirk12 tweeted: "Oomg Alex Scott wearing the arm band! things you love to seeeeeeeeeee." @vgj9_ said: "Kudos to Alex Scott wearing the One Love band on the BBC #ENGIRA." @JiKookcm wrote: "Alex Scott is a f***ing legend for wearing that arm band #FIFAWorldCup #ENG."
Alex has opened up about her private life, including her romances, in her memoir, How (Not) To Be Strong, in which she also opens up about falling "madly and deeply in love" with fellow Lioness Kelly Smith and her subsequent heartbreak when they split. She also shared how she and Coronation Street star Sam Robertson, who plays Adam Barlow, had enjoyed a candlelit dinner back in 2020 at a fancy Soho restaurant in London.
She revealed that Kelly had been her first love, previously explaining about including that chapter in her life: “I went back and forth on whether I’d actually be writing the chapter. But then it was one of those moments, I’m writing this book and I want to tell everything. I thought I’d be cheating you all if I didn’t put that in there. And for me, it’s like that first love story, I fell madly and deeply in love."
She added: "And yes, there’s that heartbreak and those things, but it’s a huge part of my life and I wouldn’t go back and change that. Because that feeling of love and that excitement and what it gives you, it needed to be in there."
