Alex Salmond to visit Ayr Town Hall as part of 'Road To Independence' tour

Former First Minister Alex Salmond is to visit Ayr later this week.

He will be in town to discuss the 'Wee Alba Book' and what is described as the "new case for Scottish Independence".

A sold-out event at Ayr Town Hall takes place on Thursday night and will include an open Q&A with Mr Salmond, the leader of the Alba Party.

Ayrshire's Alba Party candidates at the forthcoming local council elections will also be part of the event.

The evening kicks off at 7.15pm.
