Former Rangers boss Alex McLeish has lavished praise on Ange Postecoglou's decision to keep in place the Celtic backroom team upon his arrival.
Ex-interim boss John Kennedy and first team coach Gavin Strachan suffered through a season to forget which culminated in finishing 25 points behind Rangers.
But Celtic now sit six points ahead of their greatest rivals with only six games left in the Scottish Premiership season.
Postecoglou is known for not taking coaching staff he has worked with to his next clubs and he showed his faith Kennedy and Strachan.
And McLeish believes that the Australian's belief in his own ability coupled while trusting those already in place has proved a "coup".
Speaking to Football Insider, he said: “Sometimes you keep on staff you’ve inherited. You go further forward in your years and you think: ‘Did I get that right or did I get that wrong?’
“Regardless of the situation, there’s no doubt about it that Postecoglou got it right.
"He’s seen the intelligence of guys like Gavin Strachan and also John Kennedy, the experience he’s had at Celtic.
“Gavin has been there for a while as well. It would seem daft to throw that experience out the door.
“Postecoglou would also have his own guys to lean on as well but inheriting them and continuing their knowledge of Celtic, I think it’s been a bit of a coup for him.”
