Alex Lowry signs new Rangers deal amid transfer interest from Man City and Newcastle

Alex Lowry has signed a new deal with Rangers to keep him at the club until 2025.

The midfielder has impressed in his limited first team game time and had been linked with the likes of Newcastle and Manchester City.

The Premier League big guns have been keeping tabs on him but he’s decided to stick around in Glasgow for now.

The tricky playmaker has signed a new three-year deal at the club to keep himself at Ibrox.

Giovanni van Bronckhorst handed him his debut against Stirling Albion in the Scottish Cup in January and he scored within minutes.

He also made his first start against Livingston days later and has played a couple of cup games since.

And he said: “I want to thank Ross Wilson, Craig Mulholland and the boss for giving me the chance and for showing faith in me.

“I can only thank them and hopefully I can repay them by kicking on now and getting more and more games and good performances under my belt for this great club.”
