Alex Lowry still has a part to play at Rangers claims Michael Beale after the youngster was briefly linked with a loan move away from Ibrox.
The academy kid is Auchenhowie's next big thing after impressive performances for the Rangers B team and a few rare outings in the first team in recent seasons. Lowry has long-held ambitions to be a regular feature at Ibrox, with Beale handing the attacker a chance against Motherwell last month in an impressive outing during a 3-0 victory.
Recent reports suggested clubs such as Ross County would be keen to take the 19-year-old on loan, but it appears Beale is hesitant to send out a player with such talent from the club.

He said: “It’s not in the plans for anyone in the first team squad to leave the building. Alex played in the Motherwell game and did OK. He did quite well but would have liked to have done better. We won the game 3-0 so no harm done.
“He had a slight calf issue after that game which meant he missed the next squad and then came back to training just before the Dundee United game. So I sent him to the B team and he scored a hat-trick.
“It’s a completely different level and I would expect him to dominant but that was the reason why you haven’t seen him."
