Welsh TV presenter Alex Jones has announced that she has fulfilled a “lifetime ambition” - but has admitted that it's "MUCH harder than it looks on telly!" The 46-year-old host of The One Show, who is originally from Ammanford in Carmarthenshire, has revealed that she’ll be a guest on ITV game show Catchphrase with Stephen Mulhern later in the year.
Sharing a photo of herself at the iconic Catchphrase podium, Alex wrote: "Lifetime ambition fulfilled! Loved #Catchphrase since I was little and without giving the game away….I’ll say it was MUCH harder than it looks on telly! @rickontour @tylerwestt and me had lots of fun but the host with the most @stephenmulhern kept us in line…just. It’s on @itv in the Autumn.”
Alex’s appearance on Catchphrase comes following several other TV appearances this year, including recently hosting BBC's Reunion Hotel. You can keep up to date with the latest TV and showbiz news by signing up to the newsletter here.

The Catchphrase revival has been running since 2013 and is based on the original series, which ran on ITV from 1986-2004. Stephen Mulhern is the show's current host.
