Lampard explains why fans have just witnessed a real 'Everton performance'

Frank Lampard hailed his side's emphatic 3-0 win over Crystal Palace by declaring: "It felt like an Everton performance to me."

The Blues boss pointed to the desire and energy of the display, adding he was pleased by the aggression and the passing on show as his side produced an intensity that the visitors could not match and which had the Goodison Park crowd on its feet throughout the 90 minutes.

Goals from Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Anthony Gordon and Dwight McNeil secured Everton's first win since the trip to Southampton and ended a run of three consecutive defeats. It took Demarai Gray fewer than 10 minutes to end the long wait for a shot on target - a wait that had extended across the previous two matches.
