There were many highlights at The Fashion Awards 2024. Rihanna made an appearance in delightfully over-the-top archival Christian Lacroix to support her partner A$AP Rocky as he picked up the Cultural Innovator Award. After Carine Roitfeld gave us a sneak peek at the new Self-Portrait Residency by Christopher Kane collection, both Gemma Chan and Lara Stone rocked its pieces on the red carpet. But the biggest news of the night is who took home top honors.
Newly minted Model of the Year Alex Consani is the first trans woman to win this award. It was presented by fellow model Ashley Graham along with actress Nava Mau. JW Anderson and Loewe designer Jonathan Anderson earned the Designer of the Year title for a second time in a row. Simone Rocha won British Womenswear Designer of the Year, while Grace Wales Bonner earned British Menswear Designer of the Year for her Wales Bonner brand.
