Alesha Dixon has reportedly split from Azuka Ononye, her partner of 18 years and father of her two daughters.
According to reports on Sunday, the 46-year-old singer has ended her relationship with the choreographer, 43, after their romance became “more of a friendship” in recent times.
The Britain’s Got Talent and former Strictly Come Dancing judge married Ononye in 2017. She was previously married to So Solid Crew rapper Harvey from 2005 to 2006.
Dixon and Ononye have not been seen together publicly since attending Stormzy’s 30th birthday last year, and they have not featured in each other’s social media posts for some time.
“Alesha's been quietly telling people close to her that she believes their relationship is over and they're going to separate,” a friend of Dixon’s told the Sun.
“She and Azuka have been together almost two decades but their relationship has become more like a friendship.”
The Sun reported that the pair were not actually married - although this contradicts most other reports which state the pair have been wed for around seven years.
Dixon made her name as the rapper in three piece girl group Mis-Teeq but established a solo career in the late 2000s and met Ononye while touring 2008 LP The Alesha Show.
She was a judge on Strictly from 2009 to 2011 and has been a regular on Britain’s Got Talent since 2012 - releasing music more sparingly in recent times.
Much of her social media has this year been dedicated to promoting her single Ransom and her children’s book Luna Wolf: Code Danger.
Ononye was more recently seen at the Wicked film premiere at London’s Royal Festival Hall on Monday.
They were both at the Royal Albert Hall on November 15 to watch Nas perform but did not sit together.
The Sun reported that she has not worn her wedding ring in public recently.
The “insider” told the tabloid: “They’re devoted parents to their girls, who are 11 and six, and want to focus on keeping their relationship as amicable as possible for their sake.”
