Aleksej Pokusevski suffers right humerus fracture, out at least 4-6 weeks

The Oklahoma City Thunder were hit with unfortunate injury news to start June.

On Thursday, the Thunder announced forward Aleksej Pokusevski suffered a small right humerus fracture during an offseason workout on May 31. He will be re-evaluated in four to six weeks, which means the earliest he could return is in July — which is plenty of time to get fully healthy before the start of the 2023-24 regular season.

Pokusevski is in the midst of an important offseason ahead of the final year of his rookie deal. The Thunder will get a chance to extend him this offseason if they choose to do so.

In his third season, Pokusevski averaged 8.1 points on 43.4% shooting and 4.7 rebounds. He was limited to 34 games: He suffered a tibial fracture in December that cost him two months.
