Manchester United took a step closer to Champions League qualification with a 2-0 win over Wolves on Sunday.
Anthony Martial got the opener on 32 minutes amid a lacklustre first half before Alejandro Garnacho made sure of the three points in second-half stoppage time. The 18-year-old came off the bench to net his fifth goal of the season following a two-month lay-off.
Erik ten Hag has now amassed the most victories for a manager in his debut season at United - 37 in all competitions. A top-four spot was the objective this season and United look in prime position to finish there after opening up a four-point gap to Liverpool in fifth.

Garnacho’s kisses
Many fans will have seen Garnacho tucking the ball under his top in a reference to his pregnant girlfriend, but the teenager showed his appreciation for the Old Trafford faithful moments beforehand with another gesture.
The youngster was given a rousing reception when he came off the bench and subsequently blew a handful of kisses to those in the tunnel corner to show the love is very much reciprocated.
Park Ji-Sung in attendance
Many saw Ole Gunnar Solskjaer back at Old Trafford for his first game since his sacking in November 2021, but another former fan-favourite made a rare appearance. Park Ji-Sung attended the game with his family, while Portugal manager Roberto Martinez was also present.
Both club heroes posed for photos pre-match before watching the game from the director's box. Adorning Solskjaer chants were heard in the opening stages of the match, showing that he has very much still respected by the United faithful.
Fernandes family moment
The match was made extra special for Fernandes as he led out his children as mascots during the walk from the tunnel before kick-off. Taking to Instagram, the de facto captain said: "A step in the right direction! Proud that I could lead my children out at Old Trafford."
Sancho given licence
It seems Jadon Sancho was given licence to come in more centrally when United were in possession, before going back out to the left when play restarted.
The England international had a glorious chance to find the net in the second half but for the palms of debutant Wolves goalkeeper Daniel Bentley. Sancho has not scored at home since the 3-0 win over Leicester in February.
Wan-Bissaka instructions
Aaron Wan-Bissaka has been reliable defensively since his comeback after Christmas and has shown hints of attacking furore. In the first half against Wolves, Ten Hag seemingly asked the right-back to push up and underlap Antony when possible.
The full-back followed this instruction three times in the opening 20 minutes albeit it was the work of Bruno Fernandes who aided Antony for Martial’s goal. He managed to keep his 15th clean sheet of the season since his first start under Ten Hag on December 27.
