Alejandro Garnacho says David de Gea, Bruno Fernandes and Lisandro Martinez have all played pivotal roles in helping him to bed into life in the first-team at Manchester United.
The teenager says fellow Argentine Martinez - now out for the season with a metatarsal injury - is like a father figure to him. Garnacho, 18, is tipped for a bright future and signed a new five-year deal with the Reds on Friday.
The winger has not played since March 12 after suffering an ankle injury in the 0-0 draw with Southampton, but returned to training last week as he edges closer to a return. His comeback will be a big boost for Erik ten Hag.

Garnacho has enjoyed a breakthrough season, now an important player in his manager's set-up and his absence has been felt during the interim. The player himself says he feels like he has been made to feel welcome within the squad and unpacked how several United teammates have helped him to settle in.
“From the very first day that I went into the dressing room, they’ve really treated me just like one of the lads,” Garnacho told MUTV. “I’m the youngest guy out of all that squad and so players like Lisandro Martinez who is like - well I say around here that he’s like my dad.
“He treats me like my dad, when he needs to tell me off he does, and when I do well he tells me that I have. He always tries to help me with everything.
“Then you have players like Bruno who’s quite close to me. He helps with everything that he can. I’m also good friends with De Gea, we speak the same language and he’s a player who I’m very close to and we get on very well together. They all help me quite a lot.”
Garnacho, who has four goals and five assists in 29 senior outings this term, could be involved in the squad that travels to Brighton on Thursday.
