Alec Baldwin resumes filming of movie Rust with gunshot scene to be ‘cut’ following Halyna Hutchins’ death

Alec Baldwin has resumed filming movie Rust 18 months after cinematographer Halyna Hutchins was shot and killed on the set.

The production has moved from its original location of New Mexico to Montana and according to reports, there is one tragic scene that “will not be reshot”.

Ukrainian native Hutchins, 42, died after a gun Baldwin, 65, was holding accidentally discharged in October 2021.

The Hollywood actor had been charged with two counts of involuntary manslaughter in relation to the death, but the charges have now been dropped.

At the time of the incident, the cast had been working on a mock gunfight which was filmed inside a church.

A source has said the scene has now been removed from the movie and will not be re-filmed.

Speaking to the Daily Mail, they also confirmed there are no plans to film any other scenes using the original church as a backdrop.

Despite criminal charges being dropped against him, Baldwin is now being sued by Halyna’s family.

The dad-of-seven, whose acting credits also include Beetlejuice and Boss Baby, has always maintained that he was not aware that the gun contained a live round, and pleaded not guilty to the charges.
