Jurors in the Alec Baldwin shooting case were shown body camera footage of the actor being approached by responding officer Nicholas Lefleur following the tragic incident on set.

Upon being questioned by Lefleur about the shooting, Baldwin admitted, 'I was holding the gun, yeah.'

Despite Lefleur's offer to sit with him in the vehicle, Baldwin declined, citing his inability to smoke inside the car, stating, 'I can't smoke in the car.'

Lefleur offered Baldwin to sit in the vehicle, but Baldwin declined due to smoking restrictions.

Instead, Lefleur allowed Baldwin to sit outside, away from others, and instructed him not to engage in conversation with anyone else.

During his testimony, Lefleur revealed that he remained with Baldwin outside while the actor smoked a cigarette, emphasizing that Baldwin was effectively detained and not free to leave.

Lefleur explained that it is standard practice for law enforcement to prevent witnesses from interacting with others in order to preserve the accuracy of their recollections and prevent potential alterations to their testimonies.
