Alec Baldwin and his wife Hilaria have announced a new TLC reality show following their family life.

The 66-year-old actor, whose films include Beetlejuice and Glengarry Glen Ross, shared a video on Instagram with his seven children.

“We’re inviting you into our home to experience the ups and downs; the good, the bad, the wild and the crazy,” he says. “Home is the place we love to be most.”

The show, which has the working title of The Baldwins, is set for release next year on the same network that houses hits such as 90 Day Fiancé, Dr Pimple Popper and MILF Manor.

“Alec and Hilaria Baldwin have been making headlines since they were married nearly 12 years ago,” a TLC statement reads. “In this TLC follow-doc series, Alec and Hilaria invite viewers into the home they share with their seven growing kids. For the first time, they’re opening up their family lives and bringing everyone in to join in the nonstop love, laughter and drama.”

The pair met in 2011 and married in 2012. They have since had seven children, with the youngest born in 2023.

The announcement comes as Baldwin awaits a July trial for involuntary manslaughter over the death of the cinematographer Halyna Hutchins after an accidental shooting on the set of the western Rust. He faces up to 18 months in prison and has denied wrongdoing.

Production on the film resumed in 2023 with a release expected this year.

In November 2023, People found out through a source that the pair were pitching a show that would give “an authentic portrayal of who they are as a family”.

“Everything’s about my family,” Alec said. “I have really tried in the last several years, once we had five and then six, and then seven kids. I can’t go anywhere for any length of time.”

In 2007, an angry voicemail message sent from him to his 11-year-old daughter Ireland, from his previous marriage to Kim Basinger, gained media attention. In the footage, he called her a “rude, thoughtless little pig”. He later apologised, saying he had been “driven to the edge by parental alienation”.

In 2020, Hilaria came under fire with critics claiming she was faking her Spanish heritage after clips of her speaking in an accent went viral. The Boston-born 40-year-old, born Hillary, later claimed that people had been “misrepresenting” her.
