Aldi has come under fire for selling a picnic rug which the owner of a small business claims is "inspired" by her boutique collection.
Sharnee Thorpe launched her company Wandering Folk, which makes and sells gorgeous cotton canvas picnic rugs, back in 2015.
Selling in Australia for AUD $190 (around £100), Sheree has gone viral after sharing an emotional social media video about her product.
In it, she claims that her customers told her about the budget supermarket selling cheap 'dupes' of her works for just $49.99 (£26.50).
According to the Mirror, Sharnee says: "After seven years of blood, sweat, and tears, this really does break my heart.
"Aldi has released a picnic rug that looks to be inspired by Wandering Folk.
"Sadly there is nothing we can do except educate everyone on always supporting creatives."
Both versions of the picnic rug have a woven carry strap and tassels on each corner.
However, the prints are not exactly the same despite being both floral and vintage-inspired with a border.
Sharnee adds: "Big retailers will always seek out boutique brands to follow and I just want to remind you all that creatives behind brands work so hard to bring their idea to life and it really is like a stab to the heart when you see this happen.
"Thank you to our amazing community for your support and showing how much you care about our brand, it really does mean the world to us."
A spokeswoman for Aldi Australia told news.com.au that it has received the allegations from Wandering Folk and they are in the process of "first correspondence on the matter"
"We will definitely review any correspondence that is shared with our business and will respond accordingly," she said.
