Aldi, Tesco, Asda and Morrisons issue product recall warnings due to salmonella risk

A number of safety warnings have been issued about food from supermarkets in recent days due to a possible risk of salmonella contamination.

Among the supermarkets to issue recall warnings in recent days include Aldi, Tesco, Morrisons, Asda, Sainsbury's and Waitrose, so it's worth checking your cupboards to make sure you don't have any items that could be contaminated.

Other items have been recalled because they include ingredients not mentioned on the label, said The Food Standards Agency (FSA).

When a product is recalled, for any reason, the FSA shares details on what you should do if you have purchased it, as well as detailed information on why the product is being pulled from shelves.

Here are all the products that have been recalled in the past week, as reported by the Liverpool Echo.

Aldi

Aldi is recalling Moser Roth The Collection Milk, White and Dark Chocolates because they contain egg which is not mentioned on the label.

Aldi's Moser Roth The Collection is a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy or intolerance to egg.

Aldi is recalling the above product from customers and have been advised to contact the relevant allergy support organisations, which will tell their members about the recall.

The company has also issued a point-of-sale notice to its customers.

These notices explain to customers why the product is being recalled and tell them what to do if they have bought the product.

If you have bought the above product and have an allergy or intolerance to egg do not eat it.

Instead, return it to the store from where it was bought for a full refund.

Tesco, Morrisons, Asda, Sainsbury's, Waitrose, Aldi

BakeAway is recalling several raw pastry products stocked in numerous supermarkets because salmonella has been found in the products.

Symptoms caused by salmonella typically include fever, diarrhoea, and abdominal cramps.
