The Aldi store in Old Swan is reopening this week after a refurbishment.
The store has been given a "fresh new look" and will welcome customers back from 8am on Thursday. Shoppers will have more space to browse Aldi’s fresh British meat and fish, plus its popular Lacura health and beauty products, award winning beers, wines and spirits and Mamia babycare range. There will also be an improved Food to Go section, with fresh salads, sandwiches and sushi.
The format of the Old Swan store, which employs 24 members of the local community, has been created to make shopping easier for customers, with more space and clearer signs. Fresh bread and cakes have been moved to the last aisle, preventing them getting squashed under customers’ shopping, and the store will offer new, easy to browse freezers.

Its transformation is part of Aldi’s £600m investment into improving its stores and services across the UK, after feedback from more than 50,000 customers. The renovations have been ongoing since 2018. Of course, no Aldi store would be complete without its legendary "middle aisles" brimming full of SpecialBuys, restocked every Thursday and Sunday.
This week, SpecialBuys include a range of toys and children’s bedding, including Squishmallows for £8.99, Crystalina Dolls for £11.99 and single licensed duvet sets - available in Barbie, Batman, My Little Pony and Minecraft - for £12.99. Aldi Store Manager Dave Johnson said: “The store is looking fantastic, and we can’t wait to welcome our loyal customers back so they can see it for themselves. We’re committed to making sure that the shopping experience each customer enjoys in our stores is on a par with the products and services they’re used to.”
Aldi in Old Swan re-opens to customers on Thursday, March 17 at 8am. It’s located at 10 Broad Green Road, Old Swan, Liverpool, L13 5SG and is open from Monday to Saturday from 8am to 10pm and Sunday from 10am to 4pm.
