Aldi shoppers have been left in hysterics after spotting a price reduction that only knocked 1p off the price of a box of PG Tips.
The box of 240 tea bags had been reduced by the supermarket from £3.49 to just £3.48 - prompting ridicule from bargain hunters.
An image of the discount was posted on the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK Facebook page.
It has so far been liked more than 800 times and commented on by nearly 100 people.
The person who spotted the reduction joked: “Great bargain at Aldi. From what I've heard this offer is only on whilst stocks last and it's nationwide.”
One shopper responded: “Bargain! Hope you stocked up!!”
Another jested: “Just bought 10 boxes to add to my stock pile. Crazy thing is I don't drink tea.”
A third said: “Well as the saying goes, you never know when you need to spend a penny.”
And a fourth added: “A whole penny off. Must pay £5.20 bus fare and rush to get a box with that huge saving.”
”Cheapest I’ve ever seen them…” said another Aldi customer.
Someone else commented: ”Wow, bet u filled your trolley. Crazy pricing!”
A spokesperson from Aldi confirmed to The Mirror that the reduction was done in error.
They said: "This label is incorrect, and we apologise for any confusion caused."

It comes as the budget retailer, which has more than 930 shops in the UK, brought back its sell-out garden furniture this week - including its egg chairs.
Aldi restocked its outdoor rattan corner sofa and hanging egg chair on February 13, both of which have been a huge hit with shoppers in previous years.
The much-loved corner sofa boasts a grey rattan body, along with plush cream cushions and a weather-proof cover.
While similar items cost up to £1,000 at other retailers, the offering from Aldi comes to £299.98.
Meanwhile, the egg chair features a chic rattan design and costs £189.99 - but sadly, this has already sold out.
We've also spoken to an Aldi insider who explained five ways to save even more money in the discount supermarket.
One tip includes picking up “Super Six” vegetables to save cash on your greens, and there is advice on how to find the best time for food reductions.
Customers are also encouraged to make the most of leftover food recipes on the Aldi website.
Supermarket shoppers will no doubt still be looking to cut back after being warned of a £180 price rise in their food shop, due to the cost of living crisis.
This is according to consultants Kantar, which found annual grocery inflation was 3.8% over the past four weeks, up from 3.5% in December.
The boss of Tesco has also warned how the “worst is still to come” for hard-up Brits, as he predicted a 5% hike in the weekly shop.
