Aldi shoppers have been heaping praise on a bottle of bubbles that’s the ‘best I’ve tasted’ and doesn’t give you a hangover. The affordable Zerozecco is an alcohol-free wine that mimics prosecco, but without the booze!
The start of the year often sees people ditch the drink for the annual ‘Dry January’, where people pledge to avoid alcohol for the duration of the 31-day month. But those who have tried the German supermarket’s cheap faux fizz have said it’s ‘seriously good’.
Launched in 2021, the wine is a lightweight, fruity fizz that ‘tastes better than most alcoholic versions’, according to customers.

Aldi shared a snap of the £2.79 fizz on Facebook ahead of the weekend, and hundreds of shoppers rushed to the comments to say how much they loved the wine, which as been used for all sorts of occasions, from Christmas and New Year, to weddings and weekend treats.
Lisa Walker said: “We had this on Christmas Day as my Mum can’t drink with her medication and we had visitors who were driving.”
Alison Marlow added: “This is the best alcohol free Prosecco I’ve tried as not too sweet. Still a little schloer like but a nice acidity too.”
Meanwhile, Jayne Hall commented: “This is fantastic. Always have a bottle so kids can celebrate New Year. Tastes better than most alcoholic versions.”
“This is seriously good,” said Helen Somers. “One of the best alcohol free wines I've had. I buy this for special dinners when there are people who will need to drive.”
Gale Lyons chipped in: “I absolutely love this alcohol free wine, it's my weekend treat , tastes good and I know I'm not going to have a hangover the next day.”
And Charley Phillips even incorporated it into her wedding day, adding: “This tastes amazing and we had it for our toast at our wedding, as I've been alcohol free for 17 months.”
The alcohol-free prosecco isn’t the only booze-free option at Aldi, either. This week, the retailer announced the launch of their Haysmith’s 0% Raspberry and Redcurrant Gin, rivalling big brands like Gordon’s for a fraction of the price, coming in around 40 per cent cheaper.
