Aldi is once again giving bigger brands a ‘run for their money’ with a Specialbuy that will both fill your room with fragrance and warmth. Shoppers say they’ve even avoided putting on the heating after buying the huge ‘hurricane candles’.
And when we say huge - we mean it. These candles weigh in at a whopping 2.5kg, and have four wicks for a long burn time, with many saying they smell similar to Jo Malone.
The luxury brand also stocks a number of 2.5kg candles at an eye watering £350, so the Aldi dupes are saving customers around £275.

Aldi’s Hotel Collection candles come in four scents, including Lime and Basil, Pomegranate, Almond and Macaroon, and Velvety Rose. All of them retail at £24.99, with exception to the latter which has been reduced to £19.99 in time for Christmas.
The budget retailer said: “This large four wick candle has a long burn and intense fragrance, making it an essential for any candle lover. Simply light the wicks and appreciate how the fragrant candle's warming flicker and decadent scent spreads throughout your home.”
And it wasn’t long before the five star reviews and designer brand comparisons came flooding in, with shopper Sazzy writing: “Great alternative to Jo Malone, smell is great. Styling for a great price.”
Monh9 added: “Love this Lime & Basil Hurricane candle. Just as good as Jo Malone at a fraction of the cost. House smells amazing.”
”Literal perfect dupe of the Jo Malone candle,” said Connor99. “Smells heavenly, lasts ages and classy packaging unlike many other cheap dupes.”
Another shopper said: “These are absolutely gorgeous. Would make a lovely gift. The fragrance is lovely without even being lit. (The Jo Maline equivalent is £350!!)”
While Gina added: “Love these candles, they’re huge and give Jo Malone a serious run for their money.”
The candles come in a clear glass finish jar with a brushed metal lid, offering a sleek and modern design filled with a cosy scent. And with many still reluctant to use the heating amid the cost of living crisis, some have even been using the candles to warm the room.
Willow left a five star review on the Aldi website that read: “Great candle. I have a fairly small lounge and in the evening I close the door and light this large candle and it takes the chill off the room making it not necessary to turn my heating on.”
