Aldi shoppers rave about bargain £35 fleece duvet set ‘ideal’ for winter

Aldi shoppers have been full of positive reviews for a new fleece duvet set that they're confident will keep them warm this winter.

The German retailer, known for it's affordable prices, is selling the king-size set for just £34.99.

The duvet measures 230cm by 220cm and comes complete with two pillowcases.

It is lined with fleece throughout, and designed in a check-printed grey and white.

Shoppers who manage to get their hands on the bargain set will be pleased to know that it's also machine washable - with a recommended setting of 40°C on your machine.

Impressed Aldi customers have taken to the website to praise the product and to recommend it to others.

One customer said: "Lovely bedding. Feels so soft. Would definitely recommend, great price too."

Another added: "Warm and cosy, ideal for the cold months ahead."

A third person said: "Value for money, lovely quality and super snuggly.

"It's not quite cold enough but after putting this on my bed it made it quite difficult to get out."

While the average king-size duvet can cost up to £75, Aldi's set is less than half, meaning families who purchase the set will be able to stay extra warm this winter, and save some extra cash as the cost-of-living crisis continues to bite.

But it appears that the retailer isn't offering the best deal on the market, with a few websites selling them for even cheaper.

Tesco currently offers a full king-sized duvet for just £32.00, although it is made from cotton, and not fleece-lined.

Homebase is selling a similar set, also made with fleece for just £14, while Wowcher is offering a set in a range of colours for £19.99.

Aldi's customers were particularly pleased with the quality and level of comfort offered by the supermarket's duvet.

Aldi's standard delivery would've costed £2.95 but since the product is over £30, delivery is free.

Customers wanting a next day delivery will have to pay £3.95 - or they can opt for thei8r nearest CollectPlus spot for £2.95.

The news comes as the retailer announced it wanted to open 16 more stores by the end of the year, adding to its 970 across the country.

Aldi is also hiring for 6,000 more jobs.

Cities including Bath and Birmingham, and towns such as Penzance and Maidenhead are areas of interest for the retailers planned expansion.
