Aldi shoppers praise 'last year's Prime Drink' as fans have beverage 'every day'

Aldi shoppers are still raving over a tea that was once so popular with the masses that the hype seen it dubbed as "last year's Prime Drink."

Prime Hydration, a sports drink created by YouTube duo Logan Paul and KSI, has become the most sought after item recently with many stores in the UK selling out almost immediately.

The hydration drink officially arrived in Aldi stores as part of its Specialbuys range on December 29 and it quickly became a hit with parents who flocked to buy a bottle for their kids.

Like many of the supermarket's iconic Specialbuys, a limit on how many bottles could be purchased at one time had to be put in place.

But before Prime Hydration ever entered the scene, there was another drink from Aldi's shelves that was so popular you could barely find it - Diplomat Sleep Tea.

As reported by The Liverpool Echo, Aldi's sleep tea sent shoppers wild back in January 2022 with many of them praising it for helping them to get a better night's rest.

Containing camomile and apple flavoured teabags, the evening drink was said to work so well that it became like goldust to find on the supermarket's shelves.

While Prime is now the number one drink on everyone's wish list at the moment, shoppers on an Aldi fans Facebook page have been reminiscing on the popularity of the sleep tea after one woman shared a snap of a huge supply in her local store.

She asked: "Is nobody buying sleepy tea this year? This time last year you had more chance of getting a sun tan".

Other shoppers were quick to respond to the query, with many even saying that they still had a cup every night to help them get a better night's sleep.

"I have a cup every night, really helps me sleep", commented one.

"Last year's Prime drink [laughing emoji] shelves are bursting with it now", replied a second.

"Remember I could never get this, swear by it now", raved a third. "I drink it every day, it's very nice", praised a fourth.

Aldi's Diplomat Sleep Tea used to cost 89p and now costs £1.05. Shoppers can find it in their local Aldi supermarket store.
