Aldi has found themselves on the receiving end of some light teasing from shoppers after they reduced a popular household item by a rather small amount.
The budget supermarket left shoppers in hysterics after they were revealed to have reduced the price on a box of PG Tips from £3.49 to £3.48 - saving shoppers a whole penny.
Naturally, shoppers on social media couldn't help but poke fun at the price reduction on the box of 240 tea bags with some joking that "every little helps."
One eagle-eyed shopper shared a snap of the pricing blunder to the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK Group on Facebook, reports The Mirror.
It has quickly become the subject of amusement among shoppers who have joined in with teasing the supermarket for their rather stingey reduction.
"Bargain! Hope you stocked up!!", wrote one sarcastic shopper.
"Our aldi has closed for a refit but worth travelling to our next one for that amazing saving", joked another.

"well as the saying goes " you never know when you need to spend a penny", said another amused shopper.
While a fourth said: "Wow what a fantastic saving !! Lol rofl."
And the teasing didn't stop there, as quite a few shoppers wondered if the reduction was a swipe at their rival supermarket Tesco, with some even quoting there iconic catch-phrase.
"Are they takin the mick outta tesco ? Every little helps", teased one shopper.
While another joked: "This is a normal Tesco trick ha ha."
"Every penny counts. Oh wait, wrong supermarket", commented another sarcastic shopper.
Another shopper joked that they might be able to "buy a house" with all the money that they could be saving.
The teasing at the pricing blunder comes just after thousands of shoppers spent hours in a virtual queue to get their hands on the supermarkets bestselling egg chair.
Aldi restocked their popular garden SpecialBuy's range on Sunday, but quickly sold out of the cult-favourite swinging egg chair that is priced at £299.98.
The popular garden buy has been confirmed to be making a return online and in-stores from Thursday, March 3.
