Aldi shoppers on the lookout for Pop-Tarts dupe they have 'got to try'

Aldi shoppers are keen to get their hands on a new snack after spotting it online.

The budget supermarket is known for its affordable dupes of popular branded products. This time, it was Aldi's take on Kellogg's Pop-Tarts that caused a stir among shoppers.

Pop-Tarts consist of a sweet filling sandwiched between two layers of thin crust. The snack is designed to be warmed up in the toaster.

Popular Instagram food blog NewfoodsUK shared an image of Aldi's new Top Twists snacks - which proved to be popular with fans. Sharing the post, NewfoodsUK wrote: "New strawberry Aldi version of Pop Tarts!! Now available at @aldiuk."

The post quickly amassed over 1.1k likes, with several shoppers taking to the comments section to share their thoughts and excitedly tag their friends. One person said: "deffo got to try these."

Someone else wrote: "Thank you Aldi! My son loves Pop-Tarts but the £ is ridiculous. I bought a box of these this week (and some jelly stars) hoping the cheaper alternative he will agree with."

One person said: "I love Aldi so much." Another shopper added: "And VEGAN??? OH MY." Tagging a friend, someone wrote: "omg I need these!"

However, one customer still preferred the Kellogg's product. They commented: "Got these today, kids enjoyed them, but they are nothing like proper Pop-Tarts."
