Aldi shoppers love 'giant' £25 Jo Malone dupe candle that's 'perfect for Valentine's Day'

Valentine’s Day is fast approaching, and if you’re staying in this year, candles are a simple yet effective way to create a romantic and intimate atmosphere.

When it comes to dupes, we can always rely on Aldi to pull it out the bag, and their Jo Malone inspired candle range is the perfect way to impress your special someone without having to fork out a fortune.

One of the most popular Jo Malone scents is the iconic Lime Basil & Mandarin fragrance which retails for a whopping £350 for the largest 2.1kg candle, however we’ve spotted this 2.5kg hurricane candle from Aldi which shoppers say 'smells exactly the same,' but will set you back just £24.99.

The candle is housed in a stylish clear glass case with a dull brushed metal lid which looks just like the pricey Jo Malone version, and according to shoppers it ‘lasts for ages’ - mainly thanks to the four wicks.

It’s proven to be extremely popular amongst shoppers, amassing over 400 five-star reviews on Aldi’s website alone.

One delighted customer said: “This is now my second purchase off of the 2.5kg hurricane candle. The smell fills the room and lingers once the candle has been put out. The burning hours are much longer than I thought they would be. These candles are excellent value for money.”

A second wrote: “Lasts so long, I burn it every night and it’s barely gone down!”

While a third said: “Amazing and very long lasting. £25 compared to £350 for another well known brand - what more could you want?”

Another popular choice which shoppers are loving is the Pomegranate Hurricane Candle 2.5kg which has again been likened another one of Jo Malone's iconic scents - Pomegranate Noir.

You can get the hurricane candles in smaller versions too with prices starting from just £3.49 per candle. You can shop the entire Jo Malone inspired range here.
