Aldi shoppers are hunting down a bargain version of a high-end moisturiser. Costing just a fiver, it could save them as much as £50 against designer brands.
One TikTik user - @georgiabaigrie- posted to say she'd spotted a new addition. It's a tinted moisturiser which looks just like one from beauty brand Hourglass Cosmetics.
Aldi's own brand Lacura Hydrating Tinted Moisturiser is priced at £4.99. It says it is “specially formulated to give you an effortless look”. Infused with hyaluronic acid, it claims to even out skin tone with a “natural lightweight finish”.
It comes in a gold bottle with a white box, reports the Liverpool ECHO. The TikToker compared the two products online and showed off the Aldi product in a video titled ‘brand new Aldi makeup dupes’. In the comments, she said: “I was so impressed!”
The more expensive version from Hourglass Cosmetics comes in a very similar bottle, though the gold branding is brighter. The 33ml bottle of Illusion Hyaluronic Skin Tint is priced at £55 online, while Aldi’s dupe comes in at £4.99.
Aldi shoppers are keen to get their hands on the dupe already, with one person commenting: “The hunt begins again”. Another added: “They are just never in stock”.
The Lacura Hydrating Tinted Moisturiser is currently out of stock online, though shoppers can keep an eye out in their local stores for the dupe. You can shop for Hourglass Cosmetics Illusion Hyaluronic Skin Tint here.
When it comes to stock, Georgia added: “Unfortunately, it’s the case of going into Aldi every week and checking for new dupes!” You can find your nearest Aldi here.
