The product description states: "Prepare delicious meals with the help of this Chopping Board With Storage Trays by Kirkton House.

"Featuring a bamboo chopping board with 3 storage trays. This board will be a great addition to your kitchen cupboards. You can easily chop and slide your ingredients and then separate them using the storage trays."

Taking to Facebook to spread the news, one shopper wrote: "Check Out This Chopping Board With Storage Trays From Aldi For £9.99".

Some Facebook users weren't so keen on the idea, and argued that storage drawers for a chopping board were not necessary.

One said: "Why would you store chopped cucumber and onion?"

A second agreed: "I don't get why you would store it under the chopping board, put it on a plate or in the pan".

Other members of the group suggested alternative uses for the product, with one writing: "I’ve used one as a coffee pod storage".

A second posted: "Just seen these posted in a sewing group she had her sewing machine on it and used the trays for pins and other notions".

More information about the chopping board can be found on Aldi's website.
