Aldi shoppers think they've found a 'holy grail' mascara as part of its weekly SpecialBuy section.
Every Thursday and Sunday the popular supermarket launches a new batch of SpecialBuys, which can feature anything from garden furniture to beauty products. This time, it was a £6 mascara that is proving very popular with Aldi fans.
Aldi's own beauty brand Lacura is cruelty free, and known for its affordable dupes and high quality products for a fraction of the price. The Lacura Girl Gone Bad Mascara has an average rating of 4.5 out of 5 from Aldi shoppers who have left plenty of glowing reviews on online.

The full product description reads: "The first thing everyone notices about you will be your eyes with the Lacura Girl Gone Bad Mascara. Long-lasting, this makeup essential will make sure your eyes pop by adding curl, definition, dramatic length and volume to your lashes. Perfect for everyday or evening wear, this will soon become your new go-to beauty item."
In a 15ml tube, the mascara promises a 'base to tip curl' and 'lengthened lashes' to increase the volume of the lashes. Aldi shoppers have been praising how thick the mascara makes their lashes look.
Among the reviews, one shopper said: "Absolutely amazing! Can’t believe how brilliant this mascara is. Unbelievable results and I’m definitely going to buy it again."
A second shopper said: "I brought this mascara after much research... I have only been using it for a week now and it is one of the best I have ever brought..it hard wearing and last all day."
A third review said: "It really makes my eyelashes longer, a lot of people thought I had false eyelashes on it great mascara I totally recommend."
A fourth review read: "This mascara is really good. It lengthens the lashes without clogging them. I have only been using it for two weeks and have been asked if my lashes were false! I can recommend this product."
Not everyone was convinced with the product though, with some reviewers claiming the product was 'not as good as they hoped'. In one 3 star review, a shopper said: "Product didn't give the effect I had expected and unable to remove with micellar water unlike any other mascara I've used. Any tips on what product I should use to remove the mascara?"
