A woman who packs her shopping into a suitcase has bagged more than 376,000 views on TikTok.
Lydia uses the environmentally-friendly method to transport her supermarket needs every time she visits Aldi and it also saves her 15p a bag, as the Daily Star reports. The video clip of her checkout "hack" that she posted on the social networking platform has also attracted 37,000 likes with many vowing to take their own luggage carriers on their next weekly shop.
During the amusing footage uploaded to Lydia's @lydiajaynem TikTok account, she is seen pulling her wheeled pink case to the supermarket with Madonna's Material Girl used as a soundtrack. The next frame then takes us to the checkout where we are informed that an old man has laughed at the sight of her alternative packing choice.
Items such as daffodils, cheese, pasta and tinned products are all then zipped up and take home. Commenting on the video, one convert enthused: ""Honestly this is genius because I still can’t drive and the weekly shop kills me off."
Another person revealed first-hand knowledge of the advantages of suitcase shopping, saying: ""Omg I did this and was such a lifesaver when I went to uni!" A third fan exclaimed: "This is the best idea ever."
