Aldi customers queued in the thousands this weekend after the retailer brought back a hugely popular SpecialBuy.
Those attempting to browse the supermarket's website on Sunday, February 13 were being greeted with a notification warning of long waiting times.
Despite becoming available at 8am, many shoppers were unable to add the product to their online shopping basket by 8.45am.

A number of Aldi’s hugely popular garden products returned to sale this weekend - including the Gardenline Hanging Egg Chair .
Aldi announced the return of its garden SpecialBuys earlier this month, but did not confirm that the hanging egg chair would be included.
Shoppers were given wait times of around an hour to be given access to the Aldi website yesterday, with stock limited to one per customer for the egg chair.
The £189.99 chair returned as a SpecialBuy, which means that once it's gone, it's gone - and it was, within an hour of it going on sale. However, Aldi has now confirmed that more stock will arrive “soon”.
A note on the retailer’s website says: “Sorry you’ve missed out, this item will be back in stock soon. Online Exclusive! Not available in store”.
Many shoppers were quick to celebrate being among those finally getting their hands on the coveted egg chair, while others were left disappointed after waiting in a lengthy online queue.
Among the comments, one person said: “Waited all night but egg chair sold out straight away and already being sold on eBay at a huge profit. Unacceptable, people!”
Beneath the tweet, Aldi replied to the shopper and said: “We're sorry to hear this. While we hope this doesn't happen, ultimately we are unable to determine how any customer will use our products once they are purchased.
“We'll ensure your comments are passed on to our Online team for further review. Thanks - Grant”.
Aldi’s Gardenline Hanging Egg Chair will be back in stock soon, according to the retailer.
