Aldi's 'cosy' £40 throw that looks 'luxurious and expensive'

Aldi is selling a £40 throw that has featured in its SpecialBuy section and shoppers are calling it 'expensive looking'.

Every Thursday and Sunday many Aldi fans anticipate a new batch of SpecialBuys, which can include anything from garden furniture to cosy pajamas. With the weather taking a dramatically chilly turn, many Aldi fans are on the hunt for a cosy warm throw to keep the cold away.

The Kirkton House XL Ribbed Throw has received glowing reviews from shoppers, with an average rating of 4.7 out of 5 stars. According to the Aldi website, 67 out of 73 (92%) of reviewers would recommend this product to a friend. Although some questioned the quality of the throw.

Online, the full product description reads: "When the weather gets colder there is nothing better than curling up on the sofa or in bed. Add an extra layer of warmth to your favourite spot with this lovely Kirkton House XL Ribbed Throw. Super soft to the touch with a faux fur upper, this is the perfect way to inject some cosy style to your room."

Made from 100% polyester, the throw has dimensions of 200 x 220cm (approx). Aldi shoppers are claiming the throw looks 'elegant' and 'more expensive than it is'.

Among the reviews, one shopper said: "I needed a warm throw for our main bed when this throw arrived I couldn’t believe how lovely it was. Double layered, so soft, the rib pattern looked sumptuous. This throw is an absolute bargain, it looks luxurious and expensive, I loved it so much I bought the pink one for our spare bed. Get one while you can you won’t regret it."

A second shopper said: "Just Gorgeous - Amazing for the price. I really think this is as good quality as you would get in Selfridges and it’s really big, big enough for my king size bed. Very impressed with Aldi online."

A third review read: "The throw is massive, looks expensive and is lovely and soft. the backing and top are not sewed or fixed together other than at the seams, so it does roll but I don't think you can go wrong that this price."

A fourth shopper said: "Loved the throw so much but another one and some cushions. The quality of the product is amazing and at a great price too!"

Shoppers can purchase the Kirkton House XL Ribbed Throw here. However, not all shoppers were as convinced by the throw. One said: "Purchased thinking it would be warm and large. The cold comes through the ribbon stripes on it. It looks good bur not practical."

Another added: "Bought this throw after buying one last year, unfortunately it is not the quality or size of my other XL throw. Therefore returned."
