Aldi have launched a brand new aftershave that’s said to be a dead ringer for a big name brand worth nearly £300. The Lacura fragrance costs just £6.99 compared to a bottle of Creed Aventus ,, which is the luxury scent it’s been compared to.
A bottle of Creed would set shoppers back £295 at John Lewis , but if you’re looking for something a little more affordable this Father’s Day, Aldi’s ‘His Reign ’ may be a great option, 98 per cent cheaper than its rival.
According to Aldi, the Lacura Eau de Toilette "boasts sophisticated flair" that is "sure to inspire confidence". The fragrance has light notes of blackcurrant, apple and bergamot blended with patchouli, Moroccan jasmine and rose, along with a base of musk, oak moss and vanilla.

Meanwhile, Creed Aventus is a woody and heady fragrance with notes of roses, Jasmine blossom and patchouli and a base of oak moss, ambergris and vanilla.
The Aldi dupe made its way into stores on June 12, and has already proved extremely popular with shoppers. It’s flown straight off the shelves and is not available online, unless you look to eBay , where bottles of the aftershave are being resold for £25 . While it may be more than three times the original price - it’s still a big saving on Creed.
Those insistent on having the designer fragrance can find it ever so slightly cheaper at Argos, where it’s priced at £285, saving shoppers £10.
Both make a great gift for your loved one on Father's Day, but you'll have to be quick as, like with many Aldi Specialbuys, when it’s gone, it’s gone.
