Aldi's £35 eco baby product a 'godsend' for new parents

New parents and shoppers are praising one product being sold in a supermarket's baby event, with one shopper calling it a 'godsend' and another terming it a 'life saver'. Aldi's Echo Snuggle Nest has already racked up five-star ratings from some buyers.

The budget retailer's specialbuy baby event will begin on Thursday, August 18, with a range of baby products on offer. Many of the baby items are currently flagged as selling fast including stairgates, rockers, changing baskets and the snuggle nests.

Available in brilliant white, soft grey, and mint, the lightweight and portable baby nests are made using advanced ClevaFoam® technology, which Aldi says is "scientifically proven to support your baby's rapidly growing body, developing joints and the round shape of your baby's soft head".

Designed to support a baby while not being held or in their cot, pram or Moses basket, the product manufacturer says the nest helps reduce heat retention to help prevent overheating. One shopper, who had previously bought the item, left a review of the product announcing it as a "godsend", adding: "Excellent item, washable, supportive, godsend, worth every penny."

Another buyer added: "Really good quality item. My baby likes it, seems comfortable and well padded. I’d guess it’s big enough to last until about 6/7 months old. This nest is well worth the price and is as good as much more expensive baby nests on the market."

A third added: "Life saver. My baby refused to sleep anywhere but on me but she will sleep in this too. Wish they sold spare covers. It’s so easy to transport around the house too." Another added: "Fantastic - have used almost constantly since baby was born - now 3 months and still in use. Covers easily removed for washing -has been a super purchase."

The snuggle nests, which are made with recycled plastic, are available to pre-order online now for despatch on Thursday, August 18, or will be available in store from Thursday. They are priced at £34.99 each.
