Shoppers at Aldi have been so desperate to get their hands on the budget retailer’s latest Specialbuy the store has had to impose restrictions on how many people can buy. After launching a dual air fryer earlier this month that saw customers have to queue for the website at 8am - their new three litre air fryer has had a slightly more low-key launch.
When Aldi’s £90 air fryer launched at the start of November, thousands of shoppers joined an online queue to get their hands on one, while stores operated a ticket system, with some queuing from 5am to bag one.
And after the frenzy - which has also been seen with products such as the Egg Chair and heated airer - Aldi have now launched a smaller air fryer that costs just £34.99.

The air fryer is a similar size to Ninja’s 3.8l version , which comes in at £130, so this nifty kitchen gadget can save shoppers around £90 - not to mention the lower energy costs in comparison to cooking in an oven.
Aldi said: “Treat everyone's taste buds to tastier and healthier meals with the Ambiano Air Fryer 3L . You'll have plenty of space to cook all of your favourite foods, ideal for frying, baking, grilling, roasting and even dehydrating, this 3 litre air fryer doesn't require oil to fry your favourite recipes.”
The air fryer also features an overheat protection, anti-slip feet and a 60 minute timer so you can relax whilst your food is being air fried.
However, expected to be just as popular as the previously launched dual basket air fryer, Aldi have restricted the number of devices that shoppers can pre-order online. A note on the retailer’s website says: “Please note: orders are restricted to 2 per person for this product and you will not be able to add more than 2 units to your basket.”
Easy to clean, the air fryer can cook almost anything, including fries, bacon, chicken, shrimp, steak, cake, vegetables, fish and more. It also comes with a three year warranty for added peace of mind.
The air fryer is currently on pre-order and is expected to sell out quickly, with an estimated dispatch date of December 4 - meaning you can use it to assist in creating the perfect roasties for your Christmas dinner. You can shop it here, before it sells out .
Demand for air fryers has increased as a result of the cost of living crisis, with homeowners looking to cut costs on their cooking amid rising energy bills. Air fryers cook food a lot quicker and are therefore more energy efficient, costing less than half the price to run than a standard gas or electric oven.
Another popular choice from Aldi has been the Tefal Actifry, which was reduced for Black Friday, undercutting deals offered at Currys. The budget supermarket is selling the Tefal Actifry for £99 despite it being listed at £189, reduced to £169, on the rival website.
Instead Aldi has cut £90 from the price in its Black Friday sale and it is expected to sell out quickly. The 1.2kg capacity air fryer comes with over 100 recipes and can cook 'everything from crispy chicken wings and chilli beef to prawn spring rolls and chips', says Aldi.
