Foodies have been left in stitches after Aldi launched yet another savage attack on Marks & Spencer, this time using the Coronation to land a few blows.
The latest development in the caterpillar cake wars - sparked when M&S filed a lawsuit against Aldi in an effort to take Cuthbert off shelves back in 2021 - is royally clever.
In a hilarious party sketch, a group of caterpillars have gathered ready for a celebration, and as you'd expect, they know the perfect cake for the occasion.
Unfortunately, the party mood quickly takes a turn.
As the pals help themselves to cake, one of the group says: "We like this chocolate caterpillar cake, don't we Wiggles?" while a label next to the cake reads: "M&S £8.50."
"We do Cuthbert," his friend agrees. "And we like this one, don't we Morris?" Cuthbert continues, while the second label flashes up. It reads "Aldi £4.99."
But it is not the price comparison that's got everyone talking. Seconds later, another caterpillar hurries over to warn the group about a new arrival. "Oh no," he says, before Colin walks over.
"Alright Cuthbert," Colin says. "Colin," the nervous caterpillar replies. Then one of their friends intervenes - noticing you could cut the tension with a cake knife.
It wasn't enough to diffuse the situation though.
Not willing to let the video end there, Aldi appears to add one final jab with the closing shots. A large message appears on the screen: "Aldi. Like M&S. Only cheaper*
"*On cakes that look like caterpillars."
Then the action cuts back to the caterpillars, who are embroiled in a fight, pushing and shoving each other.
The brutal isn't the only move Aldi has pulled recently.
When M&S announced the launch of a new version of its popular cake - with a gold crown on top of Colin's head - to celebrate the Coronation, Aldi couldn't bite its tongue.
Finding another way to poke fun at the supermarkets' history, Aldi joked they needed to 'cancel the crowns'.
Both times, caterpillar cake fans appeared to love Aldi's antics. Responding to the video, one viewer said: "This is the best thing I've seen on this app in a long time. Aldi's marketing is so savage I'm obsessed."
A second wrote: "LOL, I'm having a right giggle over this. Nice one, Aldi." Another agreed: "I've enjoyed shopping at @AldiUK for years… …but your recent tweets really are the icing on the cake!"
Meanwhile, someone claimed: "Best place to work - Aldi marketing team Worst place to work - Aldi legal team."
A second joked: "How long till you are in court! I love you guys."
Aldi has also shared several tweets in follow-up to #CuthParty, so the fun might not be over yet.
