Aldi has announced that it is extending its opening hours in the run up to Christmas.
The supermarket will open from 8am during Christmas week to give shoppers more time to pick up last-minute food and gifts before the big day.
There is also good news for late shoppers, with opening hours extended until 11pm.

Stores will also be open until 7pm on Christmas Eve, but customers should check local store details online to avoid disappointment.
Aldi will close its stores as usual on Christmas Day and will once again keep all stores shut on St Stephen’s Day as a thank you to colleagues - as it has done since opening in Ireland over 20 years ago.
The majority of stores will be open from 9am until 9pm in between Christmas and New Year and until 7pm on New Year’s Eve to help shoppers get everything they need to ring in the new year.
Commenting, Niall O’Connor, Aldi Group Managing Director, said: “It’s important to us that our customers get enough time to stock up on all the essentials they need for Christmas this year. We are extending our opening hours during Christmas week to make sure more shoppers can avail of our fantastic, award-winning range of food and drink offerings and conveniently pick up everything they need for a festive Christmas.
“We also would like to recognise and thank our amazing colleagues who go above and beyond to serve their local communities every day at ALDI. Therefore, we will once again be maintaining our tradition of keeping our stores closed on St Stephen’s Day.”
Aldi is also recruiting for new store colleagues ahead of the busy Christmas period, and currently has 450 roles available nationwide.
