Aldi looking for applicants for Easter themed 'dream job' with loads of chocolate

Aldi have announced that they will be hiring for a 'dream job' just in time for Easter.

The competitive priced supermarket has three roles up for grabs which are perfect for chocolate lovers. They advertised that they're on the lookout for three chief Easter egg tasters.

Lucky applicants will receive a selection of Aldi’s Easter egg range, in exchange for their feedback. Samples to be tested include Aldi's indulgent new Ice Cream Eggs and the latest Almond Egg.

Aldi announced the exciting opportunity as they posted on their Facebook page. They wrote: "BREAKING NEWS. Your dream job is finally here… we’re looking for three chocolate experts to become our Chief Easter Egg Tasters. Think you’ve got what it takes? Apply now."

Each taster will receive 10 Easter eggs and be asked to provide feedback for Aldi’s Easter buying team. They will be asked to share thoughts on taste, texture and innovation that will help guide the supermarket’s 2023 range. The unique job will require tasters to have a passion for confectionery, bucket loads of sweet toothed enthusiasm, and be open to trying new tastes and flavours.

To apply, applicants must make a short audition video, which is about a minute long. It has to include your name, your favourite Aldi chocolate and why you should be their chief easter egg tasting officer. The job description advises that because you’ll be filming your competition entry at home a decent quality camera will come in handy. However, they state that a smartphone camera will do just fine.

Once you're done, email your application video to Aldichiefeggofficer@clarioncomms.co.ukwith the subject line Chief Easter Egg Tasting Officer. But be quick as the deadline is March 21.

The successful candidates will need to be available to taste at home from March 29 – April 5. If you don’t hear back by March 28 you haven’t been successful.
