Aldi is launching a range of affordable picnic gear, available to pre order online from June 12 and in stores from June 19, with further products available to pre order online from June 19. As the first UK supermarket to ban the sale of disposable barbecues, Aldi has launched the Portable BBQ (£44.99). Featuring a charcoal grill with an integrated battery-operated fan.
The Aldi Picnic Hamper (£49.99, online only) is equipped for four diners with ceramic plates, glasses, cutlery, napkins and a bottle opener presented in a natural wicker hamper. The Picnic Blanket (£12.99) is available in a choice of navy or grey check, brown herringbone or a quintessential red and blue.
Aldi’s linseed oil finish Acaia Woodboards (£7.99) can be used as serving platters and Aldi’s Coconut Bowls (£7.99, 2PK) are unique in size, shape and texture, and come with a handcrafted wooden spoon.
Aldi has also made it easier to sip back and relax with its Picnic Wine Table (£5.99), capable of holding a bottle and four wine glasses. Those partial to a summer cocktail can shake up the picnic party with the Glass Cocktail Shaker (£12.99), whilst the Plastic Fruit Diffuser Jug (£7.99) makes for the ultimate hydration-station for those craving a more refreshing and fruit infused drink. The Pull Along Picnic Cooler (£15.99) keeps drinks cool and food fresh.
