Aldi launches picnic range including £6 portable table with wine holder

Aldi has launched a new epic picnic range just in time for summer and we’re obsessed with every piece.

The supermarket's budget range is due to hit shelves in-store at Aldi on Sunday, but you can pre-order a lot of it online now.

It seems savvy shoppers have already gone wild for Aldi’s Kirkton House Picnic Wine Table, which Aldi is selling for £5.99.

The bamboo table is perfect for setting up a boozy picnic in the park with friends, and it even features five carved slots that allow you to suspend a wine bottle and glasses - how good is that?

When the tables all set up, it measures approximately 40cm in width and it sits at 15cm tall.

It can also be transported and stored away easily by simply folding up the legs when not in use.

Sadly due to popular demand, the table is no longer available to pre-order the table online, however customers can still grab the picnic essential in selected stores from Sunday.

If you don't manage to get your hands on the table, Robert Dyas are selling an almost identical one, however it’s a little pricier and costs £35 - Aldi’s version is a whopping £29 cheaper.

It seems you’re also getting more for your money with the budget option as the Robert Dyas version can only hold two glasses and a bottle in comparison to Aldi’s which can hold four plus the bottle, so there’s a clear winner here.

We’ve also spotted a similar foldaway version on retailer Oliver Bonas for £32.50 which is slightly cheaper than the one on Robert Dyas.

You can buy the majority of the range online now, however you'll have to pay more for delivery chargers which start from £2.95.

If you don't fancy spending the extra pennies on delivery, you can head into store to pick up the new items however it's best to check if they have the stock first before heading there.

We've added a handy locator tool here to help you find your nearest Aldi branch. You'll also be able to find opening and closing times here too.

There's plenty of other items to check out in the picnic range too, including a double bento lunch box for £4.99, a wine cooler bag for £16.99 and the ultimate picnic blanket for just £7.99.

It seems like Aldi has some competition as Wilko has recently launched stylish new furniture sets, BBQ's and picnic essentials with prices starting from just £1.

If you’re looking for somewhere to lap up the sunshine with your morning coffee, this cute Eucalyptus Bistro Set is sure to do the job, and it’ll only cost you £95.

A similar outdoor table and chair set from Wayfair could set you back £400, so we think the Wilko budget option is worth adding to your basket before it sells out.

With the weather hotting up, it's the perfect time to purchase some new picnic gear and Wilko have a great range of eco-friendly picnic essentials. Featuring bamboo disposable bowls, napkins and paper straws, not only are these products great for the environment, but they look good too.
